Reverend Dr. Dave Schwab - Interim Pastor

Reverend Dave was ordained into UCC ministry in 1970 upon earning his degree from Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis. In 1984 he received a Doctor of Ministry Degree with an emphasis in Evangelism and Church Growth. Dave has served as the Association Minister of the Eastern Ohio Association, and then served as the Ohio Conference Minister. He is now retired and serving the wider church in Interim Pastor ministry.
Dave and his wife Bonnie grew up in Silverton, OH, currently residing in Maineville, OH. They have two grown children, Julie and David, as well as four grandchildren, Taylor, Abigail, David and Eli. Dave and Bonnie enjoy travelling, pinochle, and sports.
We welcome Dave's enthusiasm and special training during this interim period!

Sherri Spaulding - Administrative Assistant

Sherri joined the Christ Church staff in 2006 after her job ended at Family Resource Connections, a social service agency serving families in Bellevue and Southgate. She and her husband Don have 2 grown children, Matthew and Katie. Sherri is active in the City of Newport and neighborhood organizations and when not volunteering, you can find her taking pictures, gardening, reading or running. Sherri is a blessing to our church family and without her help, we would all be lost!

Dr. Randy Pennington - Director of Music Ministries

Randy has worked in church music ministry for almost 30 years in various denominations. He received his Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music degrees from University of California, Long Beach and was awarded his Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the University of Arizona. He and his wife Suzanne have two sons, Brock who served in Iraq for two terms and is now studying at NKU, and Keith a senior at Simon Kenton High School who is an excellent violinist. Randy enjoys gardening, reading and golf in his spare time.
