Youth Ministries

Confirmation - Middle High aged youth are invited to be a part of a confirmation class each Fall.

Confirmation is that wonderful time in a student's life, when beliefs, Biblical truths and the life of the church is examined. Through the guidance of the pastor and a personal  mentor, often selected by the student, identity in the church is confirmed. The public act of confirmation is the student's declaration that they confirm what their parents did for them in baptism. 

Our most recent confirmation class met from September 12, 2009 through January, 10, 2010 (14 weeks).  The class was in collaboration with 3 other UCC churches; St. John's in Newport, St. John's in Bellevue, and St. Mark's in Latonia.  The class was taught by the pastors from all four churches weekly (Wednesdays) from 5:30-7:00.  This was a fun and eventful time!  If you have a child who is in 8th - 12th grade who has not been confirmed and would like more information about future classes - call Pastor Dave. 

Youth Group - Christ Church along with St. John's in Newport, St. John's in Bellevue, and St. Mark's in Latonia are working together to support a youth group.  We successfully completed a confirmation class with this same group of churches and decided to keep a good thing going!

This youth group met at St. John's UCC in Newport for the month of February and has continued to meet at Christ Church UCC for the month of March on Wednesday nights - dinner at 5:30 and group meeting from 6:00-7:00 pm.    All youth in grades 8-12 are encouraged to attend!

Graduation Recognition - All graduates are recognized by Christ Church during both worship services in May.  We're proud of your accomplishments and want to congratulate you for all your hard work!
